Public Opinion Survey

The continuous national wave. Tracking, not snapshotting.

Our flagship recurring instrument a rolling national wave, refreshed on a state rotation. Outputs include national/state vote intention, prime-ministerial approval, a salience ladder, and a rolling sentiment index by issue. Available on request

POS is the foundation under everything else the firm publishes: pre-poll, exit, narrative risk, sentiment dial. Each wave is signed by the researcher on shift; refresh points are time-stamped.

Module
National wave Full-constituency frame, fielded continuously; sample and margin disclosed with each release.
WEEKLY
Module
PM approval & cabinet ratings Rolling 28-day average; trust, performance, salience scored on 7-pt scales.
DAILY
Module
Issue salience ladder Top 12 voter-priority issues, segmented by region/demographic.
WEEKLY
Module
Brief format 2-page partner-signed PDF, full tables & replication pack on request.

§ D2 · ECM

Election Campaign Mgmt

A scientific feedback loop. Brief → field → measure → re-brief.

End-to-end campaign management for political parties and independents — strategy, creative, distribution, ground operations, war-room. Every intervention is paired with a pre/post wave so the campaign is reading itself in real time.

Wave cadence: T+0 baseline, then 14-day refreshes against an attribution model that decomposes recall and trust by surface (press, OOH, social, ground). Surrogates and surrogate-tier media are individually scored.

Phase
Strategy & positioning State-of-electorate baseline, positioning matrix, surrogate roster.
DAY 0—14
Phase
Creative production Vernacular video, press, OOH, manifesto, karyakarta toolkits.
DAY 7—28
Phase
Distribution & ground Print & OOH placement, social paid, district-tier mobilisation.
DAY 14—60
Phase
Measurement 14-day re-waves; attribution model; war-room daily updates.
CONTINUOUS
§ D3 · SWS

Seat-wise Survey

The hyper-local read. One constituency, measured to its margin.

A single-LS or single-AC constituency-deep instrument. Booth-clustered, native-language CAPI sampled by PPS, with a candidate-pair vote-share read at a disclosed margin. The instrument the firm uses for marginal-seat advisory. Available on request

Standard SWS deliverables include constituency-wide vote intention, candidate-vs-candidate matchup, prime-ministerial spillover, top-three local salience issues, and a swing-vote demographic table by sub-region.

Sample
Booth-clustered PPS draw Booth-clustered PPS draw per constituency, oversample on marginal booths.
[]
Output
Candidate matchup matrix Pairwise vote-share, undecided pool, soft-supporters with switching probabilities.
CORE
Output
Local salience trio Top-3 voter-priority issues at sub-region level (caste, age, urbanity).
CORE
Output
Booth-level heat map Vote-share concentration by booth cluster; targeting input for ground ops.

§ D4 · SER

Socio-Economic Research

Beyond the booth. Impact evaluation, demographic profiling, scheme audit.

The non-electoral arm of the practice. Welfare-scheme impact assessments, demographic profiling for state & central commissioners, urban-vs-rural gap studies, employment & livelihood mapping.

SER work serves ministries, autonomous bodies, multilateral agencies and select press & academic partners. Findings are released under attribution-free protocols when the commissioner requires; otherwise published with our standard signed-disclosure pack.

Module
Scheme reach & satisfaction Reach %, leakage rate, beneficiary-side satisfaction at 7-pt scale.
FLAGSHIP
Module
Demographic profile Caste, class, occupation, asset-ladder, education, mobility — by district.
FLAGSHIP
Module
Employment & livelihood Labour-force participation, agricultural distress index, MSME wage profile.
QUARTERLY
Module
Urban-rural gap Service-access gap, infrastructure perception, migration intent.
ANNUAL
§ D5 · Methods

Four collection
instruments.

Every wave the firm publishes is collected with one of four instruments. The choice is not aesthetic — it is dictated by the question, the geography and the time-to-publication the commissioner needs.

M01 · Field Study

Native-language CAPI in the booth area

The firm's primary instrument. Door-to-door and roadside-intercept CAPI on tablets, in respondents' own languages, GPS-locked to the polling area. The data spine under POS, SWS and exit operations.

  • Native-language interviewers
  • GPS-locked, audio audit on a sample
  • Available on request
  • Offline-first, deferred upload
M02 · CATI

Computer-assisted telephone interviews

For rapid 48-hour reads on national or urban-skewed questions — narrative-risk, breaking-news sentiment, urban consumer-of-news pulse. Smaller frames, faster turnaround, weighted to CAPI calibration.

  • Available on request
  • 48-hour brief-to-read
  • Weighted to CAPI base
  • Multiple Indian languages
M03 · CAPI Panel

Recurring respondent panel

A recurring CAPI panel re-interviewed on a rotation. Used for narrative-change measurement, party-switching analysis, and surrogate-effect attribution. Refreshed each wave to prevent attrition bias. Available on request

  • Available on request
  • Rotation re-interview
  • Switch-vector tracking
  • Refreshed each wave
M04 · FGD & IDI

Focus groups & in-depth interviews

Qualitative work — 8-person FGDs and structured IDIs to surface the why behind a number. Used for message-testing, manifesto consultation, and surrogate-effect diagnostics. Always paired with a quantitative wave.

  • 8-person FGDs · IDI 60-min
  • Vernacular moderation
  • Recorded, transcribed, coded
  • Triangulated against CAPI wave
§ D6 · Sample outputs

Recent signed work.

A selection from the last twelve months — anonymised by commissioner where confidentiality requires; published in full where the commissioner has consented to disclosure.
