Political Research & Media Intelligence

We measure the
mood of the nation —
and show our working.

Matrize is a political research and media organization. We poll the electorate, read the result honestly, and put it on air and on the record — for newsrooms, for those who contest elections, and for institutions that need to know what the country actually thinks.

§ I · About the Firm

The house that measures the field.

Founded in 2014, Matrize set out to gauge the mood of the nation through rigorous political research and data-driven electoral intelligence. We are independent: what we publish is what the field returns, not what a client hoped to hear.

We do three things, and they reinforce each other: we measure public opinion through rigorous fieldwork, we report it for the newsrooms that put it before the country, and we advise the campaigns and institutions that have to act on it.

Our fieldwork is conducted in respondents' own languages, by people who know the ground they are working. Every wave is checked before it is published. We treat a number as a claim we will have to defend — because, when an election is counted, it is.

We are independent. Findings are not adjusted for the political colour of who commissioned them. Every figure that leaves our building is attributed to a named researcher and disclosed with its margin and field dates — without exception.

The numbers, at this hour.

A reading taken from the floor — voting intention, salience, sentiment, narrative velocity. Each panel is sourced from a separate instrument and disclosed with its margin. The reader is invited to interrogate every figure on this page.

§ III · Methodology

How the field arrives at a figure.

Every wave is built from six instruments, each disclosed in our published wave-notes. We do not run a single instrument and call it a poll. We triangulate, calibrate, and publish the margin a reader can use against us.

i
Stratified probability sampling
A sample designed to represent the electorate, not just the reachable — drawn down to booth-level frames, with native-language interviewers.
Available on request
ii
Native-language interview
Interviews conducted in the respondent's own language, with handheld validation and a geo-stamped record of every completed survey.
Available on request
iii
Calibration to known frames
Responses are weighted to known population frames — age, sex, locality and prior turnout — with a likely-voter screen.
Available on request
iv
Media & broadcast read
We track coverage across outlets and languages to read the narrative around a contest alongside the field numbers.
Available on request
v
Seat projection & uncertainty
A constituency-level model that reports a central projection with an interval — not a single confident number.

vi
Back-test & error log
Every read is checked against known outcomes, and the calls we get wrong are documented — in our own words.
